Dr. Hashmi is fellowship trained and board certified in diagnostic radiology with a specialty in breast imaging. He spent 16 years in private practice in Texas before moving to South Carolina. Dr. Hashmi enjoys teaching physicians and technologists about mammography. He has lectured frequently and created educational videos. His experience in academics and research began when he served as an assistant professor of Radiology at Indiana University. Dr. Hashmi has interests in advanced breast imaging, such as Breast MRI and MRI guided biopsies, contrast enhanced subtraction mammography, and tomosynthesis mammography. He performs minimally invasive biopsies utilizing all forms of imaging guidance, including ultrasound, tomosynthesis, stereotactic, and MRI guidance. He has years of experience with wireless breast localizations for surgical guidance.
