Learn fluoroscopic radiation safety with this narrated and animated video course. The faculty is World renowned medical physicists. There are two versions of the training course included in the institutional package. The "G" version is for general medical uses of fluoroscopic equipment. The "C" verision covers the same material plus additional information specific to cardiovascular fluoroscopic procedures. You will be provided all the materials and post tests for each section on a flash drive or CD. CME or CNE credit is not included. This course is eight hours of comprehensive training specific to the new requirements for individuals operating fluoroscopy equipment. The training is five narrated video presentations. This course is designed to enhance your understanding of radiation as a valuable tool that must be managed well to protect patients and staff in today’s use of medical fluoroscopic equipment. You will learn the principles of radiation protection and the biological effects of x-ray radiation. You will improve your understanding of operation and principles of the fluoroscopic system to include exposure (air kerma) outputs, high level control options, dose reduction techniques, and procedures for recording pertinent data.
