Course Description:

This course is taught be a veteran radiographer that has a wealth of experience in management, staffing, and business development; Jence Cantu, RT(R).  You will start your day learning about how to build your resume professionally throughout your career, and a few "what not to do's" about social media.  Ms. Cantu will also explain how many diversity types there is in the USA to consider in healthcare practice.  After lunch, you'll be discussing the true meaning of professionalism in dealing with diverse situations.  The day will end with an update of one the hottest topics in medicine, artificial intelligence, and how it will affect you now or very soon.  All topics directly link to x-ray imaging.

Jence Cantu , MHA, RT(R)

Jence Cantu, MHA, RT(R) is the Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Health Education Center and MEDRelief Staffing and has been with our company since 2001. Offering over thirty years of radiology and leadership experience, before joining the AHEC team, Jence was Director of Ancillary Services for Covenant Health Systems Medical Group based in Lubbock, Texas. At the time this was one of the nation’s largest groups with practices in Texas and New Mexico where she led a team of over 140 imaging and laboratory professionals in various outpatient settings. She spent nearly 6 years as a senior radiologic technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab, and prior to that worked as a staff radiologic technologist. Ms. Cantu attained her degree and graduate degree from Texas Tech University. She has served as the Co-Facilitator for the Joint Commission's Healthcare Staffing Advisory Council since 2016 and currently volunteers on a committee for the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists.
