Identification of normal cardiac rhythms and abnormal variations which require urgent or emergent intervention are specific skills required by technologists employed in specialty imaging procedures. Learn "need to know" cardiac elements shown in an electrocardiogram and how they relate to the function or non-function of the heart. The activity begins with the functional anatomy of the heart and the normal electrical pathways. Lead placement and the recording of the elements of the cardiac cycle are reviewed and practice EKG strips are used to demonstrate normal and abnormal cardiac variances.
The format for this CE activity is reading material and a post test on USB Flash Drive with multiple choice questions mailed to you.
