To meet these expectations, medical professionals must regularly evaluate and update their knowledge and skills. Doing so ensures they stay ahead of evolving standards. As a result, many credentialing organizations, including ARRT, have established long-term requirements, known as time-limited certification, to maintain professional credentials.
Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR), is designed to help you identify any gaps in your knowledge and skills that may fall short of current entry-level qualifications. CQR provides a structured way to refresh and strengthen your understanding and competencies. The CQR process applies to:
The Structured Self-Assessment (SSA) reveals any gaps and prescribes CT for you to complete. The prescribed CE activities can also count towards your biennial CE requirements.
If CQR applies to you, the process must be completed once every 10 years for each eligible credential you hold. You’ll need to start the CQR process within the final 3 years of your 10-year cycle, known as your CQR compliance period.
