• Mammography Positioning: CC, MLO, and Supplemental Views

Designed to meet accreditation requirements and cater to both experienced radiographers and those seeking to refresh their skills, this course offers a unique opportunity to refine your techniques and elevate your performance.

Led by a highly qualified MQSA mammography trainer, this course delves into the art of mammographic positioning with a focus on key areas: CC, MLO, Supplemental Views, and Male Patient Imaging. Throughout the course, you'll gain practical insights and actionable knowledge to achieve optimal positioning for each view, ensuring superior image quality and diagnostic accuracy.

We'll begin with a CC refresher, covering the standards and requirements for optimal positioning. Explore techniques to capture adequate posterior and superior tissue, understand the impact of body habitus on positioning, and discover the importance of the bucky-to-breast tissue level. You'll also dive into the intricacies of Posterior Nipple Line (PNL) measurements, refining your skills to perfection.

Next, we'll tackle the MLO views, guiding you through the standards and requirements for optimal positioning. Learn how to achieve the desired posterior tissue, determine the appropriate tube angle for MLO views, and gain valuable insights into the influence of body habitus on positioning. And of course, we'll reveal the secrets behind mastering the IMF!

Supplemental Views are a crucial aspect of mammography, and we've got you covered. Explore the nuances of capturing Implant Views, Magnification Views, Tangential Views, and the Cleopatra View, expanding your knowledge and adding versatility to your skill set. Additionally, we'll provide essential guidance on imaging male patients, equipping you with the expertise to address their specific needs effectively.

Finally, we'll delve into image review and evaluation, refining your ability to assess image quality. Discover how to determine if there is adequate tissue included, identify the critical landmarks for critiquing images, and develop a keen eye for passing or failing images. We'll also analyze common image challenges and discuss strategies to enhance overall image quality.
