Cristi Stegent BSRS, RT(R)(M)

Cristi Stegent, MBA, BSRS, RT(R)(M) Medical Imaging Supervisor & AHEC Faculty. With nearly 30 years of experience in breast imaging, Cristi Stegent is a seasoned leader and educator dedicated to clinical excellence. Her career in mammography began at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1998, and she has spent the last 15 years contributing to the success of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, where she currently serves as a Medical Imaging Supervisor in The Woodlands. Cristi’s extensive clinical background covers the full spectrum of breast health, including specialized procedures such as biopsies, needle localizations, and DEXA, as well as operational excellence in Quality Control (QC) and accreditation. A lifelong learner, Cristi recently reached significant academic milestones, earning her BSRS from Midwestern State University in 2022 and her MBA in Healthcare from Texas A&M International University in 2024. In a notable "full-circle" career highlight, Cristi serves as a faculty member for the AHEC Mammography Program. After launching her own career by attending the AHEC 40-Hour Initial Training in Mammography course, she now returns to the classroom as an instructor. She draws on her decades of frontline experience and her advanced business education to provide students with a comprehensive, real-world understanding of the modality.
