Thank you for recently adding this course, Human Trafficking Prevention. There are a lot of people out there that need to be more aware of this. About 9 mths ago, HPD brought a young lady in to our hospital ER for medical clearance prior to arrest because she was running around naked in a restaurant parking lot, screaming for someone to help her. She told HPD when they had her in their vehicle AND the staff in the ER that she was a missing person, but she came to me for a CT scan of her head before they admitted her for a psych evaluation. No one would listen to her, they all laughed and thought she was crazy. She was all bruised with lacerations around her wrists and ankles. She told me she was driving home from visiting her parents that lived in another state and had to stop for gas, and was grabbed and abducted at the gas station and no one did anything to try to help her. She kept grabbing my arm begging me to help her and she told me her name.
