Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. is committed to protecting the privacy of our employees, our vendors, and our clients in all aspects of business operations. Advanced Health Education Center will assure the information we collect about or on behalf of individuals and facilities remains secure and protected while we provide our services. Personal information is only collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Advanced Health Education Center is also committed to the privacy of our web site visitors. Advanced Health Education Center believes that privacy is crucial for the ongoing success of Internet commerce. We will use our best efforts to assure that the information submitted to us remains private, and is used only for the purposes it was intended. As health care education/consulting service provider, Advanced Health Education Center collects personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and facility employer information. Course registrations and independent study orders paid with a credit card also require credit card information. For general courses and independent study, full name, home address, phone number, e-mail address, and facility information is required so that the participant may be contacted should course information change. Fellowship and skills courses require copies of your state license/certification, CPR card, and any other health care license or certificate. Individual health care systems, the state and federal health care facilities, and clinical sites have many different requirements for clinical admission to their facility according to our contractual arrangements for clinical training. These include certain health information, drug testing, licensure, and/or certification verifications.

Occasionally, Advanced Health Education Center obtains information on potential customers from various direct mail list companies and the professional organizations. These lists are purchased according to the guidelines of the seller, and the accuracy of the list is the responsibility of the seller of the list. Questions regarding inclusion on various lists may be directed to the AHEC marketing staff, which will correct in-house information and refer you to the appropriate company for further details.

Use of Information
We use your personal information to contact you regarding course changes, updates, and future offerings that may be of interest. Credit card information is kept with course registrations in a secure location. Credit card and personal information submitted online for registrations and orders are encrypted, and is submitted on a secure connection.

Advanced Health Education Center never collects more personal information than is required to fulfill these purposes.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Your personal information will never be traded, sold, or leased by Advanced Health Education Center to any external company. Your information is only disclosed by Advanced Health Education Center as required to meet legal and regulatory requirements, for example to comply with a court order.

We also disclose information regarding course attendance to professional licensing entities, state licensure boards, the Food & Drug Administration (in cases regarding mammography training), and to health care facilities as requested.

Advanced Health Education Center relies on the information provided by you. You may at any time request in writing for access to your personal information. Course transcripts and documentation of CE completion is provided as part of AHEC's commitment to customer service.

Advanced Health Education Center strives to maintain accurate records of your personal information, however, this cannot be achieved without your help. In this ongoing effort, we ask that you provide us with the most up to date information. Please let us know when your personal information is incomplete, inaccurate, or no longer relevant. This is especially true of addresses and phone numbers, especially if you are relying on a cell phone. It will be our pleasure to make the modifications in our database.
